Our story
Nana Kept began at a garage sale, in front of a wardrobe that had belonged to someone's grandmother. She had kept everything she loved: the beautiful pieces, the odd ones, the ones made well enough to last her whole life. We filled our arms with as much as we could carry, and on the drive home we couldn't stop thinking about her.
What it would have been like to grow up with a nana like that, and to be handed the things she had looked after for decades. Most of us never had one. So we became the next best thing: someone who finds the pieces worth keeping, looks after them, and passes them on to you.
Founder
I grew up around clothes that were meant to last, and I've never quite got used to the ones that aren't. Nana Kept is my way of finding the pieces that were kept properly and getting them to people who'll keep them again. I do the looking myself, and I don't send anything I wouldn't be glad to open.
